About Drinking Water

We often say: "a person can live for about a month without food, but only about a week without water". The main function of water is to help detoxify the body and promote metabolism rather than provide necessary minerals. Minerals as required by human bodies are mainly absorbed from food and only 1-2% from drinking water. On the other hand, some harmful substances from the water may have a greater impact on health.

We need to drink 2-3 liters of water every day to maintain healthy life. However, the tap water has not yet reached the level of instant drinking because of containing a variety of harmful impurities, toxins, pollutants and carcinogens etc. such as Trihalomethanes, heavy metals, pesticides and chloride. Boiling can only kill bacteria, but it can not eliminate these harmful substances.
